Out beyond ideas of rightdoing and wrongdoing
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.

Those of you who know me from twitter or facebook will probably know I had a car accident yesterday. No one was hurt at all, although the car is bit of a mess – but it’s only a car. And if things had been different by so much as a second, it all could have been so much worse.
Nonetheless, my children are safe, and so am I. For that I am incredibly grateful.
It is these periodic hiccups in our lives that make us stop and reassess. It’s time to go outside, take a walk up a hill and admire the view – just because it’s there, and it’s lovely. It’s time to stop and breathe.
See you soon.

I like your view! Looks very familiar the view from that rocky hill! I nearly had a run in with an owl on that same stretch of road late Friday evening. I didn’t want to harm the owl but I jerked the wheel a bit to savagely and it could have ended badly. Time to slow down and ‘smell the roses’ as they say.
I did not know that! I am glad you are all ok. I have been involved in a couple of vehicle accidents (neither my fault, first time I was stationary and rammed from behind, second time was actually in a school bus that was hit by a truck) which left me with PTSD. I did not realise that and just soldiered on. If you find yourself still jittery in a few weeks, anxious and struggling with driving please don’t do what I did and wait years to get help! Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through a psychologist really helped me rationalise the thoughts and get over my driving anxieties.
Of course, you might be absolutely fine. Many people deal just fine with these things. But just wanted to share something I have learned. You get a plumber to fix your pipes, you get a psychologist to help mend your brain 🙂 (Or a psychiatrist, but please not a Counsellor. Get someone with a degree!)
Anyway, as I say, am very glad you are all ok.
Thinking of you and your family. Glad to hear that all of you are ok. Lots of hugs xo
Thanks Cassie 🙂 x
