Lucy Snowe grew up wanting to live inside a Vogue magazine. She loved the lighting, the drama, the exotic colour.
Her real life is not that. Now she lives in a tiny town in the Pacific Northwest with her cowboy husband, who rides horses and raises cattle. She still envisions the beautiful and magnificent, exploring barnyard, ballet, and mid-century style equally (her roosters are a sight to behold).
Her images are alternatively dreamy and pristine, sometimes both, with highly organised compositions. Tellingly, one of her loves is Haiku poetry. Brevity, it seems, is her signature style.
Her work has been published in Real Simple, Village Voice, and National Inquirer, among others.
You can find more of her work on her site here, and her Etsy shop here.

With sincere thanks to Lucy for generously sharing her images.
Such gorgeous images! I love the dreamy feel and soft colours and the line in ‘The Colt’ is so very wonderful.
I love the way Lucy says in the above comment, “you make me sound interesting”. Oh my goodness, with images like that how could you not be interesting? On the other hand Julie, you did do a lovely job of setting it all out so beautifully for us. Thank you so much.
