Crystal says of this trip –

“Late 2010, I travelled to Cambodia with Habitat for Humanity. I spent some of my time there helping build a house for a family who were made homeless by the closure of the Phnom Penh rubbish tip.  You read that right! Just when you didn’t think it could get any worse – your family living in and sometimes making a living out of scavenging from the tip, the government evicts you. Habitat for Humanity gives these along with many more families a hand up out of poverty so they can have safe shelter and improve their health.

These photos are of my time in the Kingdom of Wonder. Ancient temples, striking faces and beautiful rice fields. Cambodia will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Crystal Prior lives in Canberra, Australia, with her husband Matt, daughter Chloe and miniature Dachshund Rizzo. She loves quilting, sewing, photography and being crafty in her spare time.
