Kat Selvocki arrived in Sydney earlier this year from the USA, travelling via Morocco and other places.
Kat Selvocki is a world-traveling, gluten-free pie-baking,
tattooed yoga teacher, photographer, and writer. After quitting her
9-to-5 job in September 2011, she spent four months in Europe and
Morocco seeking out adventures and delicious food. She loves to
explore patterns, textures, and vivid colors in her photography,
whether she’s capturing the places she visits, the food she eats, or
the street art that she spies around random corners.
These days you’ll find the real Kat back in Seattle,
virtually on twitter (@katselvocki), and at her own website, katselvocki.com.

Sincere thanks to Kat for sharing her vision.
Wow I love Kat’s Moroccan photo’s! They really capture the closeup details that I love to see on a photograph… So beautiful!
What gorgeous patterns! And I am completely in love with the blue stripe photograph.
Thanks so much for sharing your fabulous photos Kat. It’s reminded me that I’d love to visit Morocco one day. 🙂
I have, Teresa, and it is definitely well worth the enormous trip! It’s a gorgeous country, with fabulous architecture
Thank you, Teresa! I can’t recommend a visit to Morocco enough. I met some wonderful people, sampled delicious food, and of course the sights were incredible.
The blue stripe photo is from a section in Rabat called the Kasbah des Oudayas; it’s a neighborhood located in an old fortress, and all of the buildings are white-washed with various shades and accents of blue. (The first photo, of the tile stairs, is also in that area.)
And if it’s not out of place, I’ll let you know that I will be opening an etsy shop for my photos within the next few weeks – and hosting a giveaway to celebrate it – so that photo could be yours. 🙂 I’ll have an announcement on my blog soon!
Excellent stuff Kat! I shall be sure to enter too, your photos are fabulous 😀
Thanks, Julie! I’ll be sure to keep you posted. 🙂
Wonderful colours, I feel I am there! Thank you:)
Thanks, Jane! Morocco was such an amazing place, and certainly one of the most visually inspiring. Happy to share, and glad you enjoyed!
