Self-taught photographer Jetty Kolobaric is a person of few words. Living in Helmond in the south of the Netherlands, she has travelled the world, and finds being restricted by borders “not my thing at all.”
Winter is her favourite season; mist is her favourite filter. Her images are soft, atmospheric, simple.
I asked her some questions about herself and her work, and this was her response.
Oh, Julie, I have tried to go into your questions, wrote something, deleted it, wrote again and deleted it..again.
Once I wrote something for my blog.
I walk with seasons, that’s basically what I do and I document it, once it went through the layers of my mind, once, twice, forever… I use it all, digital, analogue, paint on negatives, layers of colors, through the viewfinder, whatever, whenever…I enjoy the road to the final image, if there is ever a final image, rather than the end result itself. And I ramble…a lot…silently behind my desk.
That’s me in a nutshell 🙂 and I’m fine with this.
Once I wrote a poem and it is quite about time and melancholy.
“…Time flies, my sweet, it vanishes as a sigh and while your hands try to grab its wonder, it fades as whispers do, traveling far on the wings of a sultry summer breeze…”
I’m kind of a dreamer, and tough questions about why and such just don’t go well with me.
Maybe you can find something to use in all this and in what is available on my blog.
I think you’ve said it beautifully, Jetty. Thank you.
Enjoy her wonderful images.
You can find more of Jetty’s work in her Etsy shop here, on her own website here, and on her blog here.

Hi Maria,
I initially contacted Jety trhough her Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/jkphotography. Unfortunately, it seems that Jetty has closed her Etsy shop, and both her own website and her blog seem to have disappeared too. The only thing I can suggest is to try sending her a message through the Etsy contact form (on the top right of the Etsy screen) – people often have those messages pushed through to their email, so you might be in luck.
Yes, her work is lovely, so all the best!
Cheers, Julie
Beautiful photography, so otherworldly! Congrats Jetty on the great feature 🙂
Wonderful works!!! Love Jetty’s creation!!!
Good luck!)
I love Jetty’s work and her words go so well with the images she captures!
beautiful feature!
What a beautiful work. It was nice to read a little here about the artist. The words are as magical as the photo’s are. Magical and mystical! Beautiful art from Jetty Kolobaric!
Jetty´s pictures are true to her words. One of the reasons why her work is special.
Julie, thanks so much for this lovely feature!

Hi Bob! Was wondering what Mobil pump you meant… realised you were looking at the “You might also like” section, and seeing the image from Molly’s Muses, showing just under Jetty’s post! ;D You can find the full post on Molly’s Americana here – https://tractorgirl.com.au/photography-mollys-muses.
