Enjoy a drive in the country to this stunning rural location in my rustic cottage, only a short 30-minute drive north of Wagga. Perfect for beginners (or those just wanting to play!) this Intro to Linocut class will cover all you need to know about lino to get you started on making bold, memorable prints that you'll be proud to hang in your home.
And, have a lovely day in the rural countryside.
Full day structure includes:
- choosing compositions suitable for linocuts
- simplifying your design for optimum results
- getting your design onto the lino
- carving techniques
- printing registration to achieve consistently crisp prints
- low-tech printing techniques for when you don't have a press.
You'll be working with me, Julie Gibbons, and I'll be drawing on my 30 or so years of experience in art & design. All materials will be provided, as well as morning tea and a light lunch. If you have dietary requirements, it's essential to advise me in the "Dietary Requirements" section when you book. Payment can be made by direct deposit, or card via Stripe. You'll receive directions to my house upon booking because Google Maps can NOT be trusted, lols!
