Welcome to my little shop.

tractorgirl is big on colour and texture, and is all about breathing fresh life into old fabrics.

I love the feel of fabric in my hands, I love how its colours and patterns make my eyes dance. Brocades, linens, velvets and prints from mid-century through to 70s and beyond – they’re still beautiful, and my mission is to get them out on people’s couches and onto bodies where they belong. I use classic motifs to tie together this eclectic mix of fabrics, to create an ever changing range of eco-friendly homewares and accessories that look great whether you’re a country modernist or an urban bohemian.

Everything is designed and handmade by me. I live and work in a solar-powered house with my family, in rural Australia. Please have a look around, and feel free to contact me if you’ve got any questions about any of the products – I will be more than happy to answer them. You can check more of my work on my Facebook page too. And don’t forget to check out the “fresh!” section – it’s got my most recent pieces, and I will be changing it often.

Have fun!  Julie x

{p.s. If you want to be the first to find out what’s new in shop, as well as receive exclusive subscriber discounts, pop your name on the mailing list. You also receive a FREE e-book on Design Elements & Principles on how to get your OWN craft/design/space looking fabulous. Oh, and I throw in a few small biz tips and motivations from time to time as well. How good is that?}

    Hi Jules,
    with a 50th coming up, do you think that these will go well with grey hair!!

    We found a pair of earrings last week end that Heather had made. Beautiful, needed a polish, but the memories!
