Pamela Tang confesses, “My addiction for hoarding too many materials began when my mum ran a fabric business many years ago.”
But I reckon that’s OK now – what she makes that fabric into is wonderful. Focusing on linen, wool and silk, she constructs clothing that is architectural and feminine at the same time; simple with beautiful little details, crisp and comfortable.
After completing her studies in Fine Arts and Industrial Design at Perth Technical College, she travelled to Singapore. There, she dedicated nearly 10 years to working as an interior designer before returning to Perth, where she is currently based.
Her first forays into Etsy were with children’s pinafores, and it was only after repeated requests to make them in adult sizes that she altered her business focus. Now, she has expanded her offerings to include clothing and accessories, as well as a return to her fine art paintings.
I so love this dress with its citron detail!
