Golden Brown : The Stranglers
The Stranglers are also from my misspent youth, when I loved their bouncy and irreverent Peaches. Despite their punk attitudes, when it all boils down many of their tunes could be reclassified ‘pop’.
Golden Brown is perhaps their most popular song, with its lyrics purportedly referring to hashish, heroin, or Marmite.
